Stray Kids have given some insight into the meaning behind their song “Double Knot”, in a new Genius Verified video.
In the latest from the series, Stray Kids delve into the English lyrics for “Double Knot”, and leader Bang Chan discusses how he went about translating the Korean lyrics.
When talking about the title he said: “When you tie your shoes in a double knot, it kinda makes them more secure and it gives you more confidence when you go for long runs so I think we put that meaning into our song by saying, we’ve got a bit more confidence when we’re going to chase our dreams”.
Speaking about the translation process, Bang Chan said he faced some difficulties because he wanted to retain the original meaning without losing the flow of the fast raps. He admits that the lyrics came out a bit straightforward, but is thankful the fans love it.
